Dear colleagues,

The role of medical practice executive is demanding – and always evolving. It requires mastering a broad knowledge base and a deep skill set unique to the group practice environment.

You already have the experience, so take the next step and become a certified medical practice executive through the American College of Medical Practice Executives (ACMPE), the standard-setting and certification division of MGMA.

According to studies, certified members earn more than non-certified members, and when seeking employment, have a distinct advantage over non-certified members. Some organizations require ACMPE certification as a minimum requirement for employment consideration. Colleagues, peers and employers value these credentials.  So give yourself an edge by becoming certified!

    • Elevate your career;

    • Stand out in your profession;

    • Gain a competitive advantage;

    • Improve practice performance;

    • Demonstrate your personal and professional development; and

    • Keep current with  ongoing changes in the medical practice management field.

Certification is based on The Body of Knowledge for Medical Practice Management. The Body of Knowledge and other great resources can be found on the MGMA website.

If you are already certified, fellowship is the next step. Fellow status (FACMPE) is the highest level of distinction you can earn in the medical practice profession. It signifies:

  • Superior standards of performance;

  • Professional competency; and

  • Ongoing personal and professional development in the field.

If I can be of assistance on your journey to certification or fellowship, please let me know!
